More About Me
As an actor, writer, and educator of many mediums, I aim to create speculative fiction that expands our creativity in the face of disaster, comedy that undercuts instead of reinforces existing power structures, and workshops that enable us to unravel and rewrite communal myths. My writing work focuses on characters struggling to hold loss and creation together, especially in the wake of climate catastrophe. When auditioning as an actor, I gravitate toward roles that interrogate power and trauma in intimate and structural ways.
After working in other fields like human rights lobbying and marketing project management, I chose to prioritize my creative work professionally. Those experiences still heavily impact my art, and in the last few years, I’ve invested more of my time and money in my technical education as an artist, including Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s Apprenticeship (Summer, 2024), the Actors’ Shakespeare Project’s Shakespeare Training for Professionals series (Fall, 2024), and GrubStreet’s Summer Advanced Novel Workshop (Summer, 2023).
